Here are some details of some upcoming groups and courses that you may be interested in.

Exploring Faith – from Thursday 28th January at 7pm

This is a course for those who would like to explore the Christian faith, possibly for the first time, but it could also be useful as a refresher for others. It is based on a national resource, the START course, and it covers God, Jesus and the journey of life in six sessions!

The World of Jesus – Starting 3rd February 2021

The Lay Training team are pleased to offer an online training course - ‘The World of Jesus’ with Gordon Dey, - starting Wednesday February 3rd 2021, 7-9pm for eight weeks (with a break on March 3rd).

The course is an opportunity to explore the people and places of Jesus’ ministry from Nazareth through to Jerusalem. Places are limited so for more information and to book please visit the Diocese of Leeds Learning website.

Living in Love and Faith – groups starting up during the week of 15th February.

How do questions about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ? What does it mean to live in love and faith together as a Church?

These are questions that are addressed through the Church of England’s Living in Love and Faith resources.
Three small diocesan groups exploring this material will be launched during the week of 15th February. They are open to anyone but book early as they will be limited to ten people in each group. The sessions last for 90 minutes, 7:30pm – 9pm.

Cathedral Lent Groups – The Rhythm of Life

These will start online via Zoom on Wednesdays from the 24th February, from 7pm to 8:30pm.
They are based around the development of seven ‘habits’ that can nurture faith and life: 

  • Praying
  • Encouraging
  • Sharing
  • Reflecting
  • Celebrating
  • Resting
  • Creating

This is a course designed in the Diocese of Leeds. Bishop Nick says, ‘This will have a far-reaching impact on our own wellbeing and the good of others – on our loving, living and learning. I would like to invite you to join the diocesan ‘Rhythm of Life’ venture.’
Each session will be 90 minutes in length, including a 10-minute break. The framework will consist of video clips, Bible passages, discussion questions, break out groups for discussion and prayer. Discover more about this on the Diocese of Leeds website

Day of Reflection: Finding New Ways to God
Saturday 27th February 2021, 10am - 3pm

The Bradford Area Prayer and Spirituality Team invite you to a day of reflection, held online via Zoom and led by the Revd Nicholas Clews.

Those taking part will be invited to spend a number of periods in personal, quiet prayer, moving from familiar well-tried methods to new and more challenging ones. A bible, notebook and pen would all be useful. Booking is essential, and you can do this by e-mailing
